Gilcrease Orchard

We love going to Gilcrease Orchard year round to pick fruits and vegetables — right now it’s peach season! Every time we go to the orchard it's such a different, fun experience for everyone.

Gilcrease Orchard is a pick and pay orchard, so you can pick as much or as little as you want, and pay per pound once you’re done. There is no entrance fee. A free parking lot is located just across the street from the orchard entrance.

Each week the orchard has different fruits and vegetables available to pick or just purchase at the checkout stands. Before going, I recommend checking their Instagram or website for current fruit and vegetables.

When you first arrive, there are wheelbarrows for you to grab at the entrance. They also recommend that you bring your own bags or boxes to transport the fruit home.

There is a lot of walking through dirt and branches so I recommend wearing sneakers.

Although the main pathway around the orchard is paved, the paths between the trees where you pick fruit is uneven dirt and branches.

In addition to picking fruit and vegetables, they have a bunch of cool learning exhibits throughout the orchard. You can also view their beehives, turtles, and chickens.

Go early to avoid the crowds and heat. The orchard is a popular place, so you'll want to arrive early! Parking can run out and the checkout lines can get very long.

Today they were also selling snow cones. They were a perfect end to our outing for the kids to keep their interest while we waited in the checkout line.

Let me know if you have any questions — hope you have a great time at Gilcrease Orchard!
